Summer Camp 2009
Camp Musconetcong
is located at Rock Spring Park on Schooley's Mountain Road and
East Springtown Road is Long Valley. Campers swim twice a week
at Hackettstown Community Pool, and travel on a full day trip each
week. Camp activities include sports skills, arts and crafts,
games, science and nature, music, skits, cooking, service projects,
hikes, and barbeques. Rock Spring Park boasts a large open air
pavilion, sports fields, tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts.
Camp Musconetcong is for children entering Kindergarten through fifth
grade.
Clover View Camp
celebrates its seventh year of service to the Mount Olive area.
Clover View Camp is held at Turkey Brook Park.
Campers swim twice each week, and travel on a full day trip once a
week. Camp activities include games, science, cooking, service
projects, arts and crafts, sports skills, contests, and teambuilding
activities. Clover View has historically provided a smaller camp
experience with emphasis on group activities. Clover View Camp
is for children entering Kindergarten through fifth grade.
Explorers camp
is for students in 6th grade to 8th grade. Each program day, the
Explorers travel to entertaining destinations in the New Jersey, New
York, and Pennsylvania area. Explorers campers can be picked up
and dropped off at Camp Musconetcong, Clover View Camp, and Liberty
Meadows bus stop. The summer is sure to include swimming,
bowling, movies, tours, amusement parks, museums, sports, and all kinds of outdoor activities.
Nature Camp
is an outdoor nature summer camp program for children ages 4 to 6
years old. The program is located near the tennis courts at
Rock Spring Park in Long Valley. The program offers our
youngest campers an opportunity to enjoy nature based activities,
arts and crafts, story time, and guest speakers. In addition
to our two-week geographical theme, we will explore wildlife native
to New Jersey. Local field trips are planned for each session.
The Counselor in
Training program is a four week program open to students entering
9th and 10th grades. It is offered at Camp Musconetcong and
Clover View Camp. Instructed by program directors and senior
staff members, students learn about group dynamics, child development,
positive discipline, first aid, activity planning, leadership, and
positive attitude. They use their knowledge while working with
counselors in a group setting.
